


The SCX-16 is an electric convection steamer with a steam coil boiler. Constructed from satin finish type 304 stainless steel with a one-piece, all-welded type 316 stainless steel cooking chamber.
The doors feature a removable inner stainless steel liner, full perimeter gasket seal, and a one-piece, all-welded stainless steel outer liner with a positive lock and seal mechanism. The door opening measures 14” x 26.5” (356 x 673mm). The steamer includes removable stainless steel pan supports and a stainless steel drip trough connected to a drain to collect condensate when the door is opened.
The control housing is stainless steel with a removable side access panel. The cooking compartments are independently controlled by a 60-minute timer, green ready pilot light, and red cooking pilot light. An audible signal sounds at the end of the cooking cycle. Steam flow is interrupted when the door is opened and reactivated when the door is closed.
The steamer is mounted on a cabinet base with a full perimeter angle frame, reinforced counter, boiler mountings, and 6” (152mm) stainless steel legs with 4 adjustable flanged feet for securing to the floor.
Standard features include a water treatment system, automatic boiler blowdown, and a split water line.
