The Crown Convection Steamers are engineered for exceptional performance, combining a modular gas-fired steam boiler base with a tilting kettle, perfect for high-demand commercial kitchens. Constructed with a durable type 304 stainless steel exterior featuring a #4 finish, these steamers are designed for long-lasting reliability and ease of maintenance. The unit includes a deck-mounted faucet valve, swing nozzle, and an integral sink with a common drain, offering a streamlined solution for steam cooking.
Each convection steamer is built with doors that feature a removable inner liner of stainless steel and a full perimeter gasket seal to ensure a tight, secure fit. The outer shell is a one-piece, all-welded stainless steel construction, and the unit includes a positive lock and seal mechanism. A stainless steel drip trough is connected to the drain to effectively collect condensate when the doors are opened, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. The cooking chambers are made from all-welded type 316 stainless steel, fully insulated to retain heat, and come with removable stainless steel pan supports for easy cleaning and maintenance.
The controls for each compartment are easily accessible through a fully removable side panel. Each cooking chamber is equipped with a 60-minute mechanical timer, with both ready and cooking pilot lights. The steam flow to the chamber is automatically interrupted when the compartment door is opened during the cooking cycle, and reactivated once the door is securely closed. An audible signal sounds at the end of the cooking cycle, ensuring precise timing and optimal results.
The cabinet base, which houses the gas boiler and controls, is reinforced with a full perimeter painted angle frame and kettle and boiler mountings for added durability. Hinged doors with magnetic latches, along with 6” (152 mm) stainless steel legs fitted with four adjustable flanged feet, allow the unit to be securely mounted to the floor. The boiler features automatic water level control, a pressure gauge, water gauge glass, operating pressure control, safety high-limit pressure control, and a safety relief valve. The unit is ASME code stamped and National Board registered for added safety and compliance.
Included as standard are a water treatment system, split water line, CSD-1 boiler controls, electronic ignition, and automatic blowdown, ensuring efficient operation and long-term reliability.
